hey, I was in the market for an extractor. I was looking at the mytee lite as my first option and then I saw the thermax cp5. I see that the thermax seems like a more powerful unit and it is bigger, but the mytee is also a good unit. Well, I can get each of them for around 400-450shipped used with the hoses and upholstery tool. I was wondering which one is better for the money and which one works better. thanks. *sorry if I posted in the wrong section*
Hey champ. I've had two Mytees. The first was a full size unit for my shop and then a Mytee Lite for using in my mobile unit. Both units work very well. They heat up quickly ( there is a trick to getting really hot water ) and the suction is great. Haven't tried a Thermax yet so can't voice an opinion.
You have to be careful with injection that is too strong as you'll be getting your upholstery too wet.
Have to disagree with that statement. Thats why they put a 2 stage motor on the CP5. You have enough vacuum power to pull the water out, plus you should always be doing a couple dry passes anyway. The higher PSI gives you faster cleaning on the job, much rather have 100 than 60. Ive cleaned at upholstery at 250 psi, no big deal.
so for the money, i should probably get the thermax, as it seems to be a more solid unit, with more psi. thanks, I am still looking into it, so anymore comments would be nice.
