Hi guys, May I know where do you guys store your paste wax or sealant? on average, how many years do waxes & sealants can last for? I collected few paste wax pots and sealants... All for own use only. I dont know how long do all waxes & sealant last for, there is no expired date on products as well. I keep all my stuff in storeroom only, the temperature was about 22-25 degree celcius depend on weather. I think all my collection could last many years if only detail for my own car. To be honest, I also addicted to keep buying and buying new stuff ... i dont know how to stop :help: Im worry some expensive stuff will go broke for few years like my SV collection ... so I need some guys who especially been in detailing for long time could sharing how they store those stuff ... many thanks in advance who willing to share and give advises ahwil
you don't want to store your products BELOW freezing (32 degree F, 0 degree C). Keep them away from intensive heat too. Perfect climate for product storage would be room temperature... Waxes and sealants should last you 5+ years, if stored properly...
Indonesia climate should be pretty much same as Singapore so avoid putting it in your car boot during the day. Some of my compound and AIO got seperated and I couldn't mix them back. Some of my waxes also turn out very dry, but it will still work fine after you give them a little rub.
thanks for your commend ... Yes, our climate should be the same ... My AIO also separated and couldnt mix back even shacked as hard as possible. In fact, I keep my AIO in room, there is no direct sun as well :shead: Thats the reason that make me worry my other collection ...
I have always kept my stuff inside at around room temp an have not had issues. Early on I left everything in the garage and still did not really have issues, some products separated but would mix together for the most part. Have not had issues with AIO separating on me even when it was in the garage year around. I would keep everything in a room/closet that does not change temperature much and does not have direct sunlight...I think you should be fine in doing so. You could keep wax's in the fridge if you are really worried.
