Finally received my Optimum Opti-Coat in the mail. I'm picking up my new company car (2010 Ford Fusion) and plan on testing this product in multiple ways. *1/2 the car (paint/glass/trim/wheels) will be coated for comparison purposes (gloss/swirls/beading) *Wet sand as much Orange Peel from the entire factory Hood as possible (UV protection test ala heat) *Nothing but Dawn dishwashing detergent will be used to wash with on a bi-monthly basis *Parked Outside (S. Florida)
Looks sweet David! Have you ever done a test like this before, to compare it to? As in a durable wax of your choice washed bi-monthly with Dawn and parked outside?
is that syringe enough to do the whole car? I saw Scottwax's post on autopia about that, looks very interesting
Yea I'd assume you'd use about a similar amount as Opti-seal, which is barely any per car. The syringe says "spray" onto a towel or foam pad, are you going to transfer it to a spray bottle or something or use it form the syringe?
Is this the infamous stuff that you can really mess stuff up on applying it wrong and is supposed to be SUPER durable? I only heard bits about this...
Yes it is the super uber durable, 1-2 yr, WOWA sealant. According to Justin it is pretty hard to screw up as they reformulated it a bit from its initial release a while back.
Smell is the reason I bought Lusso Oro... the looks sealed the deal on it being my favorite nuba so far
