Just completed @ the shop, this car is a 1992 500E which in the early nineties was a sought after Hot Rod Mercedes. The client who owns the car takes care of the detailing himself but the finish was a little beyond what he could correct(just a little bit). Exterior paint correction only, no wheel cleaning, trim, or interior. Bird dropping etch the customer was worried about Different angle of the etch Wool pad and foam pad corrected Trunk taped off for 50/50 comparisons After wool pad step Foam pad step Intermediate polishing step before final jewelling Cloudy lower rocker After compounding Opposite side of trunk, with a cluster of deep scratches Corrected Marring on c-pillar LED light to show "true" correction Door panel Left front quarter panel Sun shots
Amazing result!!! One of my fav vehicles. Nothing like the old Q-Ships W124 500e/e500, e34 BMW M5, C4 Audi s4/s6
Add me to the list, love the old school look, not sure why thought just like their apperance. Another job well done :thumb:
Great job, btw did you polish the headlights?, I ask cause that is one of the main problems with the older MB, but amazing how the finished paint looks
Great job, Bob. I believe this is the 500 E that MB out-sourced for Porsche to build for them? It's supposed to have really great handling and braking.
