Hi, I ordered the Polycharger Wax Booster Combo Kit which contains both CH2 and H2O vials for water-based products and oil-based products. Ordered it a few hours ago from PAC right before the 10% & Free Shipping Halloween Sale ended. Does anybody have any experience with this product? I have lots of experience of adding ZFX to my Zaino polishes but never tried this actual Polycharger brand. I plan on Polycharging my Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield and Optimum Car Wax, among other QD's/spray waxes. I also plan on Polycharging some of my sealants such as Collinite 845, Wolfgang DGPS, Klasse AIO, etc upon each use. On retailers' websites it says that once a mix of Polycharger and product are created, you may only use it for 48 hours before having to toss it out. This is along the same lines of Zaino's ZFX, but Polycharger's website states that quick detailers/spray waxes can be Polycharged at the recommended dose, and there is no need to worry about shelf life. Meaning, just add the recommended dose, shake up real well, and the product is then Polycharged until it's completely empty, provided I shake it up real well again before each use. Any users find this to be true? And can I just go ahead and Polycharge whatever I feel like, as long as I use the appropriate CH2 or H2O product? Or am I just limited to the approved waxes on their website? It doesn't seem like they are updating it anymore...
I've used Polycharger in Werkstat, Blackfire and Duragloss with good results. Never did any durability testing, but the Werkstat looked good after 6+ months. Mixed batches kept for at least two days, but I overnight in the fridge for next day application. Used it with detail sprays, but don't really notice much difference but this gets reapplied 2-3 times per week after a wash. Yup the application and dosing list hasn't changed at all since I first bought the product. I'm sure that with some experimentation PC could be used with most any polish/wax or detail spray.
I used it for WG DGPS back before 3.0 came out, it made the buffing alot easier. Read some durability reviews on DW and said that the polycharged, the home mixed ones, sealants lasted less time than the non polycharged. The test did have flaws but still was a surprising result. I have always wanted to PC my Qds like OID and what not but only have teh CH2 version. As long as you use the correct version you can PC anything, how it will work or mix is unknown for many products out there but worst you do is waste 1-2 oz of product.
Thanks for the info guys. I will try dosing 8oz of Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield and see how that works. I will also try dosing some of my sealants right before using them and see what happens. The tricky thing will be the dosing, I think. In my experience with Zaino/ZFX, if I use too much ZFX it makes Zaino sealants too difficult to buff off and they leave some haze/streakiness. I can't wait to try it out on Wolfgang DGPS 3.0 and Collinite 845. I applied two coats of DGPS to my father's vehicle and the beading/sheeting action after a little over a month has slowed down dramatically. I think DGPS could benefit from Polycharger.
