So my life has been turned a little bit upside down. My best friend who lives in the Detroit area had to have a kidney removed. I was there for his surgery. It turns out that he has non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Less than a week later I was back in Detroit because he developed an infection along part of his incision. Well on my most recent trip home I made the mistake of stopping at the local DIY car wash and washed the bugs off the car. Mistake number two is that I grabbed the brush and went to town on my paint.
I was sick to my stomach when I left. I KNEW better. So my punishment was roughly 15 hours of work to get the car back to how it should be.

I'll find out later this week what the chemotherapy schedule will be like. With winter coming I don't think I'll be taking the GTO back to Michigan until the spring. Just depends on the weather and how his chemo treatments go. His oncologist is VERY optimistic about treatment and recovery.

A+ work and great results. No more brushes though - you can borrow some stuff next time you're in my part of town

I hope everything gets better for your friend. Detail looks great and it looks like some really decent defect removal. Love the second to last shot.

I hope that things get better for your friend!

It still scares me to see those brushes at the car washes. I see people vigorously scrubbing their entire cars with them! Great correction work though. Turned out very nice :thumb:

Nice job on the detail Shauna. You couldn't find a touchless car wash to go to? Oh well, you got to get some detailing in.

Best wishes to your friend for a thorough treatment and speedy recovery.

If I looked hard enough I probably could have found one. I really can't complain too much because detailing does provide quite a bit of stress relief for me.

I'm leaving to go back to Detroit Monday afternoon. My friend and I are attending a class about chemotherapy. Roughly a week later he will have his first treatment. Then they will happen every 3 weeks for the next 8 months (roughly).
