    Hey guys,
Here are a few pics of my collection. I've been detailing my car ever since I got my drivers license and my collection has slowly grown - until recently, when it exploded!!! For years I used Meguiars products because I thought that they were the best as they were the most expensive at any auto parts store or Target. I then discovered the on-line BMW forums at Roadfly where a lot of people spoke highly of Zaino. I never ordered Zaino because it looked too complicated for me as a high school kid and was way to pricey. When I got my Jet Black CPO 328xi I knew that the paint was going to need some work. There were a few scratches and some mild-severe swirls. I once again delved into the on-line forums and found FMNIUS on E90Post. He referred me to DetailingBliss - and the rest is history... Everything that you see below besides a few miscellaneous microfiber towels, wheel brushes, and the Meguiars/Mothers products were purchased after joining this forum and my car has NEVER looked better. I have had great results with Chemical Guys, Dodo, and Poorboys. At the end I've added a spreadsheet with all of the products in my "inventory." I'm looking forward to many more years!

Everything spread out on the ping pong table...

I think I might need to compile a spreadsheet for all my products

Haha - you're right. I was bored one afternoon and decided to take note of the new products that were coming in. After that I thought, what the heck, might as well document everything that I have on hand so I know what I like, what works, and what all this "stuff" can do.

It's not a bad idea, especially if you're into trying a bunch of different products. Provides a place to track, review, etc. I also did the spreadsheet with this forum in mind so that people can see/comment on what I have, what I need, what I can toss.

I might actually do this ... I keep buying stuff that I have, but can't find in my basement. I'll be organizing my basement this winter and buying a few things so I can start practicing with the rotary as soon as next Spring comes.

btw ... your car is an xi? do you have it dropped? I haven't seen an xi so nice as yours.

Yes it's an Xi. I have it dropped on H&R Sport springs. Thanks for your kind remarks! :thumb:

    what's a kanban system?

It's an inventory tracking concept used in the Toyota Manufacturing System. Inventory cards or lights indicate when inventory gets low and also indicate the exact amount to be ordered. It takes the guessing out of "how many parts I need" in a manufacturing setting .... I'm sorry for the long explanation.

It's great to keep an inventory like that. Especially if you do this for any sort of money. That way you can keep track of how much $$/oz (or whatever) you spend on product for details, and charge that base price, plus whatever profit you want to make.

Something I'm just now getting in to.. a little late and it's going to help things run a lot more efficiently..

Points to you as the first person I have ever read that mentioned Kanban on a detailing forum!
