Ha I love how all the cars I get are absolutely destroyed. I never seem to get those enthusiasts who just need a couple swirls removed, I get people who it looks like they've been washing their cars with a rock with sand as lubricant. I got this car, I saw the oxidized as hell paint, oh crap my first single-stage paint, goodbye pads. Here's how it went. I'm sorry in advance for this detail, I forgot to take A LOT of pictures. I don't know why, but I took a bunch of befores and then forgot the afters. No interior pictures, rim cleaning, or clay bar pictures. :sorry: Wash: Meguiars Gold Class 2BM w/ Grit Guard Sheepskin mitt Uber red and blue WW drying towels Clay: Adam's Gray Clay ONR Clay lube Uber red towels Paint: Makita 9227C/3M Perfect-It backing plate Uber Blue/ P203S, PO85RD (Mixed, One step.) Keep in mind, this is a one-step detail, I did what I could and I made sure the guy knew it. I only had a day to do it, so keep that in mind, this was just an average guy wanting to "freshen up" his car a little bit, not expecting or paying for perfection. Again, sorry for the lack of pictures. Pre-wash pictures, it was actually pretty clean except for some fungus. As you can see, the car looks pretty oxidized: Fungus: Note the lack of reflection, also pay attention to the side moldings, they are kinda discolored, I fixed it later.: Dirty tires:  :thud: I cleaned this to about 90%, the rest of it wasn't worth it, I was on a time schedule and it would have taken a good half an hour to get all the nooks and crannies. I forgot an after, sorry. Clean Car: Ok, at this point I clayed the car, forgot to take pics but it was pretty bad, felt like sandpaper. The car was oxidized as crap, as far as I could tell. It was a cloudy day so no sun(It came out for like 20 minutes). Reflection = Fail. 50/50 after one pass, WHAT? NO OXIDATION! THE CAR JUST HAS THAT MANY SWIRLS :thud: Afters, some with LSP, some with no LSP: Bad 50/50 of the body side molding: Body side molding back to white :applause2: I have to make the music and stuff for the videos, check back in like 2 days. Ish. Depending on how lazy I am. Hope you guys enjoyed even with the lack of pics! :mounty:
great turnaround for the limited amount of time bobby. :applause::applause::applause: How long did it take you?
Yea haha the owner washed it with a stiff brush, I told him to throw it away immediately and showed him how to properly wash it. Thanks for the compliment! Thanks Gianni! It took around 10 hours, I really had to work the polish for a long time to make sure it wasn't hologramming. It was only a one-step BTW.
Ha yea, it's funny how oblivious some people are to swirling and such, when I look at a car, that's the first thing I notice! He also has an M(older Z4) coupe that I'm doing, I'm scared to see what condition that one is in.
Wow he's luck it was a light color cause that paint was really in bad condition But because it was white it didn't look quite as bad
