thanks for the feedback. nothing I say to him will get everyone their money back, so I may just move on... I am pissed that the mods on DW would even try to defend this guy with a story of woe and circumstance...I don't care about his situation. Just because I paid does not make the money disappear, simple as that.

I'm out almost nothing, I feel for you Bob. I guess this is a lesson for us all.

 

I'm so glad this guy never answered any of my e-mails on how to place an order.

 

I got an email from him saying he's starting ANOTHER magazine and wanted and said he'd take what I already paid him and get our ad's in the new magazine. I told him that he pissed a lot of people off and I'm not sure I'd want to be associated with another he puts his name on. I have not gotten a reply back yet but that is not unusual.

 

You have got to be kidding! Have people even gotten their money back for the first scam yet? This guy is unbelievable, how dare he. He must be thinking that enough time has passed that people forgot already, so he can start another scam.

 

Yeah, the name will be changed and everything. I'm guessing he'll have to try and hide the fact that it's him or nobody in their right mind would buy it.

 

We will have to make sure to get ahead of the curve and warn others before they get scammed as well.

only reply i ever got was thanks for payment!. i wasnt out much compared to some, but it still bothers me that he would dare try it again. unless he makes right to all he wronged, and it was done so we all got what we paid for, i wouldnt order crap.

I feel lucky that I was only out the subscription price. Others were stuck losing a lot more than me. I did get issues 1 & 2.

The idea was, and still is, awesome. The execution was terrible.

I would not trust that guy again. If there were a complete different outfit though, and doing the same thing, I'd gladly purchase the magazine.

I got a replay from him, looks like they will come back and it sure looks like he will take care of everyone that got hurt from the first version. I don't agree how this went down but we all make mistakes. I hope they learn from this one. :waiting::hmph:

 

Yeah, I just talked to him too. Looks like the magazine will be the same title and out in December. I guess he's trying to make right with everyone he screwed the first time around. We shall see. I told him I'd give him a second chance. If I still don't get what's owed to me I'll be on a plane to the UK though. LOL

 

first things first Sorry to all those who waited for magazines, i know things didnt go to plan. personal and business.

However i spent the time embarassed but now with a genuine financial backing issue 3 will be out early january. same name but a complete new look.

I do have a couple of issue 1 & 2 left if any one would like a copy of these.

there is a couple who i need to send issue 1 and some issue 1&2 which will be done in the next day.
Those who ordered a subscription will receive issues 3 & 4.
