I have a 2005 Black 9-3 Saab. The car has some swirling and light scratches. I am looking to keep the costs as low as possible. I need something that will give me that wet look and also provide durability since I live in Wisconsin and have harsh winters. I am not afraid of learning to use a random orbit. I have looked at the Pinnacle, Wolfgang, Chemical Guys, and Poorboys products and am just not sure of what would work best.

For swirls I would suggest a PC 7424 XP + Menz SIP + LC Orange. As for the LSP I would say Collinite 845, not the most fun to apply/remove but has amazing durability and the beading is just plain ridiculous.

I would prefer Meguiars 105 and 205 over the Menzerna line in DA application. 105 will offer a lot of cut out of a DA with the Kevin Brown method and they are both designed for DA use. Menzerna, from what I remember, is more geared to rotary application. I'd suggest looking at the Duragloss and Collinite lines. Ease of use, you can't beat DG 105 or Collinite 845.

Whichever way of paint correction you choose, I prefer PC 7424XP w/ Menz polish, but Collinite or DG is going to be your best best for great durability and that glow you are looking for. Both products are also inexpensive and you can get Collinite from Phil at Detailers Domain for a great price.

As stated above, the PC7424 with orange and black pads coupled with Menz Power Finish/106FA will give a great finish. I recently used PB EX w/carnauba and was amazed at the depth from such an inexpensive sealant. Although DG 105 will give great durability, I'm not fond of it on black. I would take Colli 845 over it on black.

So Collinite 845and then Menz Power Finish/106FA and use a orange pad followed by a black pad? Any other product I will need? I know the durability is different but what do you think of DP Max Wax? Also where is the best place for deals on these products? And would you apply Collinite 845 by the PC7424 or hand?

Ditto for me too on the PC7424 w/Power Finish/106ff with the orange & black pads. I actually get most light swirling out with the white using the "DN Method"....LOL.

I think you got it backwards. They're suggesting Menz Power Finish with an orange pad followed by Menz 106FA with a black pad. Then topping off with 845. DP Max Wax isn't going to give you the durability of 845.
