Hello, I ąm planning to get a tub of Concorso and I have a few questions. -I heard that it's durability is not very impressive, there are rumors that you need to add one layer every two weeks. What can you tell from your experience? -Do you see any significant difference between one and two/more layers? should i keep 24h periods between applying particular layers? -Is it always necessary to use SV SCF before? I was planning to do it less often. -Any application/buffing off experience you could share? Thanks!
1. False--8-10wks for me. 2. no (folks tend to but not needed IMO) 3. no 4. just the normal wait 30min to buff off. Leaving out in sun after first wipedown does enhance appearance....IMO
I see durability of about 2 months, on show cars that dont see much driving I have seen 4 months pretty often. 2 layers is all you need, its just to ensure full coverage. It also increases durability. I apply in at the very least 12hr periods. According to Swissvax's handbook you should use S Cf the first time, re wax 3 months later, then at the 6 month mark us SV CF and re wax, then 9 months later just re up and so on. I use my hands to apply, it goes on incredibly easy, and I leave ti for an hour(lunch break) then come back and it buffs off with such ease. Also like most higher carnuba waxes it will sweat in direct sunlight, cause a hologramming type look, don't sweat it just let it sweat and buff softly with a MF. Thats my opinion, great wax and a pot will last at least 10 applications if use use 2 coats. I think a pot typically gets me about 15 cars.
i got 2 months easy . out of mine . in fact before winter hits im going to give my truck 3 layers of concorso ..
One last question - can I top it with Red Mist 24h after last layer? Will it do any good for durability and/or appearance?
