What everyone uses to seal plastic, such as headlights, tailings and other exterior plastic with? I've been using Wolfgang, it works well, but I have to admit, durability is very poor. I simply refuse to seal plastic once a month, but if I don't, headlights are starting to turn yellow, here and there... Does anyone uses carnauba wax everytime they wax? Just want to hear some opinions... And perhaps even new product suggestion...
I could only use a nuba if it is white, if it is yellow in color over time you will get a yellow tint from accumulation of the carnauba wax. I have PPF over my lights so prevent pitting of the lights, have you thought about going that route? Then you dont have to worry about oxidation as air will not get to them. But if you do want to seal the plastic only thing I can think of if it is smooth plastic is a good sealant. Are you using WG Plastic stuff? FK1000P works well on tail lights and will not cause yellowing because of layers. I have also tried it out on the windshield and it does not streak or haze up as well.
I was about to say the same thing. UPGP works great on headlights and tail lights. On plastic trim, Ultima Tire and Trim Guard Plus is phenomenal.
Newbie, want to ask..... Where i can buy fk 1000p ??? read a lot good review about this product and want to try it. I go to their web and can not buy online from their web. Regards, Arif
Arif the new FK distributor email for orders is finishkareusa@hotmail.com until a site is up. For headlights and any other plastic, I recently have been using alot of KAIO with KSG. Awesome chemical cleaning to get rid of the oxidation and durable protection. Or heck if I dont have time but know I need something, BAM optiseal done in 5 min. <3
No big surprise, but I love how DG 105 protects plastics. I find either DG plastic polish or XMT 360 works really well preceding it.
Yea, I mean we are talking about headlights, and so on not textured plastics right? I use Gloss finish on glass and plastics, its durable, and looks nice. Similar to DG 105 really. As for the pre step I use dodo Lime Prime
I'm with Richy. DG105 all the way. I use DG105 on headlights, tail lights, wheels, and even glass. I top the glass with AW.
