It would be a good idea to dust or give the car a quick wash to get the dust and stuff off. I normally just ONR the car or use a duster. I dont see why you could not use 425 between coats.
I had an email from FK saying after the 1000p is buffed of fit is ready to be layered or topped. I have been doin that method for a year now with great results
I talked to JJ, Finish Kare President not FK1 who is a distributor, and he said they recommend 24 hrs between coats.
I have been using it since last summer with the method I decribed and have had no ill effects. I had 3 coats on my DD lasted from Nov until I decided to rewax again in March.
Thanks , which looks better 1000p or Pink wax ? Forget durability. How does 425 compare to quickshine from CK ? I put 1000p over RMG looks great in the garage. can't wait to take it out.
This is typically the way to go about it. Check out the wax thickness tests, and it pretty much proves its the best way to go about it.
I dont know if RMG is a oil glaze or not as 1000P is a sealant and needs a clean surface to bond to properly or a glaze made for sealants such as CG EZ-Glaze. Pink wax is said to look better as is a nuba based wax compared to a full synthetic wax, 1000P. I have only used 425 so cant say much about it compared to QS.
Thanks, I have a sample of the PW but never used it. I also have Cg EZ creme and DWG and CG WMF. I really like RMG I am not concerned about the durability just looks.
I've done RMG under 1000P, while is was a nice gloss, the RMG oozed out and always left a oil film, it also reduced the 1000P durability..........so not a good combo. Danase Wet Glaze works well with 1000P using the "Oreo Method" 1000 DWG 1000P Cheers, GREG
