Just picked up a jar of the P21S Polishing Soap. I had high expectations of it when I read reviews, this product has exceeded my expectations greatly! My moms car has quite a bit of chrome trim on it and two exhaust pipes to polish so needless to say I can't do a detail without some quality metal polish. So I decided to pick up the P21S Polishing Soap as I've heard many great reviews on it. I tried it on my dad's exhaust tip on his Matrix. I didn't even have a clue this kind of finish was possible on it!:shead: Here is the left side unpolished, the right side was a bit worse but I don't have befores of the right side. After, I was a bit lazy, I'm sure it could be a bit better but it'll do for now Sealed with this attempted reflection shot ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I also did my mom's car tonight. Only the exhaust tips though, didn't feel like doing the trim tonight. Here are some befores Left exhaust tip: Right exhaust tip: Afters: Bonus pictures: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My thoughts: Great product, exceeded my expectations greatly! Really does it's job well, I would definitely recommend the product to whoever.
Nice review..yet another good vote on that product. what made me laugh is you're like "I was too lazy.." and "I didn't bother..." so I'm thinking hmmmm P21... The Lazy man's polish LOL!!!!!
P21S Polishing Soap is my "go to" chrome polishing product, very easy to use! I have two pots and feel like I won't ever need to buy another one as a little goes a VERY long way!
ahah it was really really hot out...and they my parents don't pay me to detail so I just did a mediocre job this time:giggle: It will definitely be my go to polish as well for mostly all metals
Definitely putting this down on my list. I have black exhaust smoke all over the inside of my polish. I'm going to have some work to do with some steel wool and this stuff.
Just beware of polished lips. Sometimes this stuff is TOO aggressive and it hazes the finish. Other than that, I love this stuff too!
I bought Swisswax metal polish on one of my hauls from Detailers Domain, and I have yet to use any of it because P21S polishing soap is so good. It's gone from exhaust tips to the aluminum frame on my CR125 as well as the expansion chamber. you get a great amount of product for the money, and it's one of those items that is A MUST for everyone's arsenal. I also like the fact that I spit into the soap and rub it around for some reason. I dunno
I'm a big fan of the polishing soap as well. A very nice product that is cheap and will last for a long time.
where did you get that metal sealant? i cant seem to find any product claiming to be a metal sealant anywhere. im thinking about getting the p21s soap and cg metalwax to protect it after. my other thought was to use the poorboys wheel sealant on my exhaust tips after i clean with p21s
I just used it on my motorcycle wheels and all the chrome on it. Works great. The down side is it makes a mess because you have to do it wet so I had to go back and clean a lot of it off the crevices of my bike. But it did work good.
It's good stuff. For a good finish the trick is to use a soft applicator, sometimes I even use my finger. I believe it has some sort of clay in it which makes it easier to remove embedded crap. For tight spaces I've used the Swissvax Wheel Brush and it worked well.
