Anyone ever heard/used automagic products? This product just came in to my country, Indonesia. I seldom see any fourm discuss abt this product ... its weird ... is it like turtle wax? Cheers
They make some good products. Some of there products are re bottled and sold under other company names. They are not the best, but they are also not the worst. I say it would be a decent line if you can get it local and dont have to import products at high cost. I know some people here have experience with them and will chime in. There polishes are decent, there clay is great, QD is decent, soap is good as well. Reason you dont hear about it is because they mostly sell to body shops and high volume detalers.
Hi agpatel, thanks for your input, the selling price isnt cheap in indonesia as well ... for example, the clay 200gram is about USD 50. :shead:
Hmm, well I am relatively speaking hehe, if it is cheaper than buying products and shipping them some of them may be worth it.
Automagic is a very large manufacture of detailing products and they also hold the clay patent. I like their hydro wax, its very good. What products are they carrying? Try out their magic compound, its pretty good.
I dont really like their stuff. I work at a dealership and its what we use so I am familiar with a lot of it. Someone referred their stuff to a little better than rat poison and Megs was McDonalds. He is an Optimum fan btw. The GS1 polish I cant figure out. The Red Hot cleaner is probably extremely bad for your health and leaves white residue if you leave it set for more than a minute. Hydro shine spray wax has mineral spirits in it which swells the paint to hide swirls. $50 for the clay is absurd.
Hi MrPolished, I also optimum fan, hehe I got a lot of optimum products on my shelf. Automagic clay 200gram was selling usd 50 in indonesia. Im curious in automagic Risk-free products, its nt sell on retail customer. Since u r working on at dealership n familiar with a lot of stuff ... any recommend some of the best products with reasonable price?
I've used and like AM products alot. Thier polishes aren't the best I've used, but work great in a high volume environment like a dealership. I've gone through dozens of 55 gallon drums of their dressings, cleaners and solvents and many cases of their compounds, polishes, glazes, waxes and aerosols. Here's my favorites: *Blue/Red Clay Magic - all the other clays immitate these IMHO *Body Shine - compliments Clay Magic at not creating marring *Special Cleaner - great verstility on interiors, exterior and engines *Red Hot - one of the best engine cleaners - not a good interior cleaner *Magnificent - strongest non-acid wheel cleaner I've ever used *Super Dress-It - very nice and thick water based engine & wheelwell dressing *Bumper Magic - long lasting trim dressing *Hydro Shine - Used it on a car for 2 years without the use of any other LSP and it kept everything looking new and beaded like crazy *BC-2 - great 1-stepper with decent production *EZ Clean HD - nice smell, perfect amount of suds and good cleaning power *Enzyme Pre-Spot - great protein stain/odor remover *Wash & Wax - I still find myself reaching for it after using lots of other soaps
I'll 2nd Magnificent. Its green like P21s and works great diluted. I just stopped using Red Hot becuase of the strong chemicals in it. You can get by with a lot less cutting ability. I am trying 777 in its place, tires, wheel wells and engines.
I use some of the AM line. I dont use any of their polishes or waxes. Here is the products I use Wash and Wax: One of my favorite washes. Works great, smells like bubble gum, and is really gentle. 9/10 Fabric and Carpet Cleaner: Tried this product in my extractor and was not overly impressed. Weird smell and subpar results. 6/10 777 APC: Multi use APC, Does not work that great... Smell gets annoying really quick and makes me cough. 5/10 Citrus APC. Another Multi Use APC, Works much better than 777 and smells better. Once again though it makes me cough. 8/10 Spoke Wheel Cleaner. Acid Based wheel cleaner that I use on chrome and very veyr dirty wheels. Works great and have never had a problem with any etching. Does not smell overly strong either. 9/10 Super Dress It: Water based dressing. Works well on weather stripping and engines. Sucks on tires and it turnes them brown and much too shiny on interiors even whe diluted 4-1 Citrus Wheel Cleaner: Great non acid wheel cleaner. Nice smell and works great on tires too.
I refuse to use any of their products to to their blatant attacks on other companies over there "patent" on clay. Clay for autos was invented in Japan, not the US.
Every clay is there clay... CG, Megs, Mothers, etc... I really dislike there patent but for the time being I will stay with using there clay... now after what is it? 2013? Well then bring on everything else! I'd use Bilt Hamber if it weren't so much more money...
