I had an order come in yesterday from DD, and I have been unable to find it 'on the front step' as Fed Ex put's it. So, I am assuming the worst, and wondering what recourse there is for stolen packages? Phil, you have an email, not sure if we have any insurance options here? 60 bucks down the drain sucks. IB
I would talk to Phil, he would be the guy who knows for sure! I hate nothing more than I hate thieves.
All packages are covered for the first $100 without purchasing Insurance. I don't know if having it Stolen off your Porch is covered though, might have to run it thru HomeOwners. :shead: How did you even know it was Deleivered/Stolen? I feel YOU should be the one to do legwork with Fed-Ex. I feel the person you Purchased it from has already done his part. I'm sure its gonna require an Hour on the Phone, getting Multiple Tranfers before you get this resolved
I'm guessing he got a tracking number and they said it was delivered? But it wasn't on his door step. Was it delivered possibly to a house next door? I've had that happen a few times.
Ive had stuff that was delivered to a different house on my street before, but nothing stolen off my porch. good luck and contatct fed-ex.
Maybe they can contact the driver and I can ask him where exactly he left it, I know for sure it isn't around my house (I have read horror stories of people finding packages in bushes) but we don't have anything like that, and I have looked. My wife also said that we never had the door bell ring at all during that evening (when it is posted as delivered) so maybe he went to the wrong house. Will report back with any progress. Thanks for the support guys, IB
Fedex also leaves a sticker behind at my house. They mark the sticker where they leave the package. Did you find the sticker that was marked "left on front door"?
Ok, so I put a call into Fedex, who contacted the driver. I was away all weekend, but when I came home on Sunday, i find my shipment is right at my front door. Apparently the driver delivered to the wrong address or something, and made right on it on Saturday when I was away. All good things come to those who wait, and thank you Phil for the service. This was certainly a Fedex issue, but I appreciate the responsive emails. IB
