I'm looking for suggestions for a simple detailing cart. I like the one Spyral has posted in one of his threads, and saw it at my local Harbor Freight, but they don't have any in stock and I would have to order it online. I want to be able to wheel my most used products around when working, but also have a tight garage and it can't be too big. There was a thread were someone had customized a cart, anyone have the link?
I got my Snap-On Cart at the Pawn Shop. Its got a few Scrathes and Dents, But its Sturdy as a Mule+ I have a Life Time Full Replacement Warranty opcorn: Can't HF order 1 for you with there next shipment....Probally not, that place will be gone in 5 years or Less. There Customer Service is as Ridicolous as the Junk they sale Everything they sale is Junk and ppl will finally catch on...I Did :duh:
I have a folding one that is height adjustable that I use when vacuuming and steaming floor mats so it's easier on the back. I wheel it around when I am compounding and keep the polish and the next stage of polish and pad on there as well. I usually like to do 2 panels at once and do 2 stages on them. Everything is right there for me. Everything else stays on the shelf until I need it. I don't want my cart cluttered.
With Harbor Freight, it's hit or miss. Their customer service is well, none existent. Anyway, I was browsing Northern Tool and ordered the following cart to be delivered to the store for pick-up. Northern Industrial Steel Utility Cart — 600-Lb. Capacity I appears to be twice as heavy as their Harbor Freight equivalent, that is also more expensive? (hopefully the heavier weight means it's good)

[/QUOTE] ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I like having just the essentials on my cart as well. I like to be able to lay my polisher on the cart. And also move it around with ease(Weight) :shead: You do have to remember this is a pic of Spyrals Cart....Heck the stuff he has on there is just what he pulled from his glove box:giggle:

I too like to lay my polisher down on it. Mine holds 50 lbs and the adjustable height thing is wicked.
There was a thead about someone rigging up an outlet strip on the side of their cart and also clamped the halogen lamps to the back of it. It was wicked :headbang:
Check home depot as they carry a cart I think made by rubbermaid that looks like what the modded cart is.
Picked up the cart from my local Northern Tool this week and put it together last night. Definitely China, but the size is substancial. I appears that I can fit 2, 5 gallon buckets side -to-side on the top shelf. I'll try to post pics later.
I'm working on a detailing cart myself. I think I got the same one in the picture above and I got it at sears on sale from 99.00 to 79.00 using the craftsmen club card...As I have a tight space problem myself...Thanks for the idea...:thumb:
