so i picked up a bunch of stuff lately. made a nice order with ken at autowerkes exclusive and also made some trades with slanguage. big thanks to ken for great customer service and for going out of his way to help me out. and thanks for the freebies ken! i assume the freebies were to compensate for the fact that the Gloss It Gloss Enhancer was backordered, but i actually recieved the Gloss Enhancer like a week before the rest of my order lol. no big deal at all though. it was all well worth the wait. from ken i got:

i was a little surprised to find the BH Soft clay with the white powder residue all over the inside of the container. at first i was worried ken had send me some anthrax. totally kidding.

thanks. from what i can see without having actually used it, its the same size as the euro red ccs apps. the LSP side of the blackfire seems to be a little softer and smoother than the euro ccs app, which im happy about. the white side seems to be comparable to the firmness and texture of a white lake country foam pad. im looking forward to using this side for tricky spots that need hand polishing like behind door handles etc. ill get back to you after i use it though.

lol i figured you wouldnt ken. poor richy. why we're on the topic, why is it that BH packs the clay in the powdery residue? never seen anything like that before...

oh and here's a little blackberry shot of my dash, after testing out the Werkstat Satin Prot. i sprayed it onto a MF first, then wiped down the upper dash:

 

looks good. might have to try it. what do you think of it?

 

seems good so far. we'll have to see in a couple days how it repels dirt/dust and such. feels pretty nice to the touch too.

lol. you'd be amazed at the conversations i have with people who are in my car for the first time. "man this is a really nice rental". "its not a rental." "well then why is that little sign on the dash?". it gets really interesting. ive had a couple people insist that it HAD to be a rental and that it wasnt really my car.

thanks! cant wait to try the stuff out. i have a wash and wax this thursday. trying to decide if i should go with the autobalm or acrylic jett trigger. going to be on a dark green 2003 jetta. i beleve its a metallic.

 

Well, those two are my favorite non-carnaubas, but for me, the darker the paint, the more likely I am to use Auto Balm. It really brings dark paint to life.

Anyway, nice orders! You'll LOVE Aquawax if you haven't tried it yet.

thanks. yeah the gloss it QD is pretty impresssive. i used it as a final wipedown after LSP on my car this weekend and it turned out pretty nice. maybe its just me, but kinda like the smell of the AB, although i do agree it isnt the nicest smell ever.
