I'd like to put a Detailing Bliss meet in Calgary

Well I think it's time I finalize this. I've been wanting to set something up for the past few weeks/months. I have several locations to choose from but it all depends on the number of individuals interested on getting together.

So the first question is those interested on getting together would you be interested on simply getting together to shoot the breeze (like meet and greet event or simply discuss techniques, products, paint gauges, rotarys..ect..ect) or to actually detail?

If your interested on getting together and actually detailing a vehicle or participating on the detail and trying new products/techniques I'd need to know the numbers as I would have to set up the appropriate location for this.

Having said that if some of you are interested on a more advanced orientation, what I mean is we could do this by levels/stages. First a very, very beginners orientation, then a intermediate one followed up with a advanced meet and finalized with a professional orientation. Each level would cover different aspects of detailing. It all depends on the level of detailing your currently at and the level you wish to get to. If you are interested on this though I would have to limit the number of entries as the place of gathering will be held in my garage and with a verity of vehicles/clear coats. This can be as basic as explaining what a foam pad is, what a DA polisher is to the advance levels of how to properly break down polish, how to wet sand by hand and by DA..ect..ect. Like I said this would be a serious of events and will depend on each individuals skills and most importantly schedule.

I’ve been thinking about this for a wile now and I’ve actually have a break down of what I’d discuss at each level, I’ll post the break down at a later date. Depending on how much interest there here in Calgary.

How about somewhere in the middle of canada next to the border so I can drive? . (unless I have my geography confused, and that's where calgary is, but don't think so)

 

I would defenetly be interested in either of the types of meets that you described. We need to set up the first annual DB golf tournament too!

My vote goes for Vancouver. Theres Ken (911Fanatic) and I over here. There are also multiple members in Washington and Lifemal and a couple others are in Bellingham which is about an hour and 45minute drive.

 

That would be such a bad idea actually, the misses wants to go to Vancouver but if this was to happen it would be more of a get together for a BBQ or something similar to that. Or we could dedicate it to detailing and still have a BBQ. But the timing has to work for everyone, I've got lots of holidays so I could take a week off and stick around Vancouver for a week or so.

 

if it was later on in the year id make the treck out from winnipeg!

 

Well I'm taking the following week off July 27 to July 31 during this week I'll be detailing a few vehicles, this is an invite to anyone who's interested on either just hanging out or picking up some pointers on how I detail your more then welcome to come over.
