Hey guys, Some people have asked me to do their vehicles and since I don't have a DA or rotary at this time (saving up) I have made a basic list of duties I can do. Please let me know if these prices are too high (too low) or if I need to make any chances. All advice and opinions are helpful. THanks!! $75 sounds a little high as far as what the General Public considers a Car Wash. Maybe you could throw in a Q/D Wax. If your market will bare this price I see nothing wrong with it. 5 hours seems about 2.5 hours to long though. $140 Sounds reasonable...Considering there will be little(by hand) Paint Correction. I say go for it.......opcorn:
thanks! this is just the feedback im looking for. I'm doing this more so to get back some of the investment I have already made and to further buy more products. Keep in mind, these prices are Canadian so $75 is actually about $65 USD. I will edit my post to reflect these changes now!
Good thread. I myself am just geting into doing this as well. I recently did a 300M that wook about 9 hrs total. Which included scrubing and shampooing the carpets conditioning the leather and all interior panels inside. Body took hella long time to clean very neglected. Used Clay / Glaze / Sealent / LSP. Rims took about 30mins each to get a nice chrome finish. All in all took about 9 hrs , charged for 8hrs and charged $160CAD, car looks new! I'm still working on a pricing list myself but this client needed a car done, so I was happy to help. I would say your right on track for what you want to offer.
Did you apply the Glaze/Sealent/LSP by hand or did you use a DA or rotary? which glaze, sealant, and wax did you use? Do you know how much it cost you in terms of product & materials to do the job? LMK, Waseem
I don't run a business nor do I have much, if any, experience of a pro, so please take my feedback as constructively as possible. I think you should look at it from the customer's standpoint. If I was a reasonable consumer, what makes a customer come to you and pay the premium rather than bringing their car to a carwash place? Maybe you can offer the carpet shampoo'ing into the next higher package. It seems that the carpet treatment may be an overkill to customer's you may see on a regular basis. You can lower the price of a regular wash and vac and maybe increase the higher package if you wish. If I were a consumer, seeing a good price is an eye catcher.
