hey everyone back again with another detail. This car belongs to a co-worker and she wanted to get a full detail done minus polishing. Overall the car took me 10 hours :yikes: this being because the clearcoat was soo contaminated and dirty. roughly 6-7 hours of the 10 were spent on washing and claying the car since it was never given a proper wash. There was a lot of micro oxidation (i think i just made that up) and on the white paint looked like a million orange dots. Also when using the clay the grime on the hood and other parts didnt seem to come of easily. what this car needs is a serious polish which it might be getting in a few months. anyways here are the pics some afters were missing because once again the customer arrived before i could take some decent ones  since i work with her ill try to get some tomorrow. enjoy. any and all comments are welcome :thumb: got a big shipment the week before so i had new stuff to try out Wash: Megs #62 Wash Mitt Two Bucket Method WW MF Drying Towel Larger MF Drying Towel Engine: CG Grime Reaper Brush Black Wow Clayed: Meg's Clay Meg's #66 (Ran out during) PB's Spray & Gloss Diluted Trim: Black Wow Glass: CG Window Clean Wheels: CG Grime Reaper (great stuff) Wheel Brush Armor All Extreme Tire Shine (i know i know..but it works so well :shrug Interior: Shark Steamer Vac MF Towels Armor All (again this is being replaced asap) CG's Fabric Clean applause: x1,000,000) you will see why below LSP: PB's Natty Red (OMG the smell of this thing) Tools: About 11 Costco MF towels (Thanks Nica for the heads up on these in one of ur posts) DD Uber MF Towels Sony Cyber Shot 7.2mp lots of water :giggle: Ok so heres the car upon arrival it was raining :duh: again Look at the grime dripping off the handle More grime Fresh Enemy Attack :gross: Scary Nice pink sunset Grime still putting up a fight during claying Dirty hood In Between windows and paint Contaminants Micro Oxidation as i like to call it After Claying Trunk Jamb Remembered to clay the side skirts and jambs After LSP Before After Interior Trunk before Hard to see but trunk after One side of rear cupholder after one steam spray and a quick wipe And heres where CG Fabric Clean saved the day Before After Before After Thats it until i get more after pics. I think your "micro-oxidants" are actually metal deposits, presumably from rail transport, that had created rust. Looks great though! Natty's Red worked well on white, that stuff smells amazing!
You need to talk her into getting the polishing done! But amazing work so far, especially on those mats :yikes:
yeh the polishing is most likely getting done in august before school starts again im hoping that will leave the car looking wet and even better
You came through big on that one, that car was rough!! How much clay did you go through?? I would have been very happy with your results, good job man!!
thanks!!! i went through 1.5 clay bars from the meg's clay kit. the one half was from when i did my car. i didnt use it and was surprised to find i had to on this car. wut saved the day on the interior was the steamer and the CG Fabric Clean :thumb:
Looking good, polishing will def help get the wet look. I find a great combo on white for a wet look is Danase Wet glaze topped with DG 111
most people just dont know the difference between taking their car to a car wash and hand washing it themselves or by a professional.
