I mist my LC black or LC white (if more water mark) with distilled water before I put 501, Is it ok. This is how I do it at the moment and used only bout 2-3 drops per 2x2 session. When too dry, I mist some distilled /filter water again.
For dark color I like to use 105 or TC since i found it make my car look darker but not dull. For lighter color car like my wife's White ,I like 501 ..then AW. 501 seems to make the brighter... I may be wrong but this is wht I observed. Actually I found only with 501 + AW will do the job. 105 and others is good to have and more for slightly serious ppl. diff ppl hv their own taste..i think
Dear Sal, u mean after polish with Menzerna (my case) then only use 501. bcoz if follow my previous product Meg step,2,3 .. Is Clean then polish ...then wax
Wow, that's a lot of Duragloss stuff. :applause2: I'll be trying more of their stuff as I run out of what I've already got. 751, 501 and 951 have impressed me a great deal.
Strytnyne nice purchase Karl try 111 it is great looking, really adds a wet look even on white and last a long time. To me its almost like Zaino Z2 (if you ever tried Zaino)
I feel like Duragloss is one of those "best kept secret" kind of companies. Sort of hard to beat on value for money. Once I'm out of AJT, I'll give it a shot. If it's as good as the other stuff I've tried, I'm sure it's a great product. Never tried Zaino, that stuff always struck me as a bit of a hassle to use, where something like AJT is brain dead easy.
I h ave a bottle of 111, but have yet to use it. How long do you have to wait before applying a wax over the top?
I have a question about the AW users. I usually use FK425 as a drying aid while drying my car after a wash and then top it off with AW every third wash. Would it be better if i use AW as the drying aid and then FK425 when it's dry? I think FK425 leaves a more slicker finish than AW, but then I heard people get better results from AW when the surface is dry.
I usually spray AW on a dry vehicle. After a wipe down with AW, my finish is really smooth, more than enough for my liking. But for the record I've never used FK425.
Here's my process for AW: wash the vehicle like normal flood the surface, to allow most of the water to run off spray with AW, and dry the remainder of the vehicle. As far as the amount used, I use probably 1-2 sprays per panel.
AW is very strong stuff and was originally designed to be used on wet panels. After every wash is too often...every 2nd or 3rd is fine. Use your FK on alternate times. I use the ww to get 90% of the water off and then use AW..but that's jsut my method. It's certainly strong enough to use on a wet panel and then dry it off...play with it and see what you like better. There is no wrong answer here other than perhaps using it too often.
Thanks for the info. Have you noticed any differences if you ever applied it to a wet or dry surface?
Not really but I find I use it more sparingly on a dry surface. AW is probably the premiere product from DG. Not everyone may like sealants, but damned near everyone likes AW..it's that good. By the gallon is downright cheap.
Yup AW is just awesome. I'm waiting until I run out of my 22oz so I can go ahead and order a gallon from DG. I want to try #902 as that and MS UG seem to be getting good reviews. I just don't know which one to try...ohhh the dilemma.
Thanks for the use frequency tips Rich, much appreciated. I've been using it every wash, mostly because it's new to me and I like it so much. Yeah. The first time I used it, I couldn't believe it.
Guys, if I were to layer either 105 or 111, would I only apply 601 before the first layer or can it be used every time?
