This car was done for a member from another forum. It was already in good shape - the goal for the day was to get the owner acclimated with some detailing basics and also to correct some minor swirls (there weren't many at all). Since the owner is a big Adam's Polishes fan, we stuck to those products. We took turns going around the car correcting all of the trouble spots and also hit the headlights as well to give them some more clarity. Once the swirls were addressed, I set about polishing up the wheels and dressing the tires while the owner applied some Machine Superwax. He had experience with pneumatic buffers, but this was his first time using a Porter Cable. It didn't take him long to pick it up! All in all, we probably spent about 6 hours going over techniques for the PC, spotting swirls, wheel/tire care, etc. Even though he did most of the dirty work, I still had a great time - the biggest challenge for me was being able to fully answer all of the questions he had...it's not often I have to explain why I do what I do or how exactly XYZ product works. The only downside I suppose is that I wish I had a little more creative freedom with the products - that Cyber Grey Metallic was screaming for some 85RD!
Looks stunning. :worship2: I love the colour. No topless shots? Reminds me, I need to polish my tailpipes...
