If you're looking to learn without very little harm in damaging anything I say the PC 7424 is the way to go. I'm learning myself right now and picked up one and it's a great little tool. Once you learn a bit more and are more confident with the machine I say bump yourself up to a Flex or a rotary.

Though the only harm I can see in using the Flex off the bat is the initial cost, but the performance more then makes up for it :thumb:

Also, welcome to the forum :)

I'm just starting off aswell, I'll be learning using the PC7424, been reccomended as a really good starter tool by everyone on here.

I'd say if your just starting out, go with the PC, much cheaper (about $100 vs. $250) and I'd think it'd be safer because of the lower speeds. If you have some experience I'd say go for the flex, but i'll stick with my PC :p, can always upgrade!

+1 on what Ch40t1c said. Learn with the PC and then once you get the hang of everything upgrade to the Flex! That is of course if you have any money left after browsing this site...:crasy:

Well the unit that he has is a Festool rotary polisher so there would be no need to jump to a Flex as he already owns a great rotary . So he could start with a PC and transtition to the rotary.

Flex 3401 all the way. Forget about PC, later you will find no use for it.

I guess the G110 is superior to the 7424 because I have had great results correcting with mine..good luck though with whatever you choose to start with..its alot easier than it looks..

The 7424 is a great choice. Its inexpensive and will do as much correction work as you need short of a full on restoration. For any doubters, look back at the black 911 I posted a few weeks back. That entire car was done with a 7424 and Power Finish. Take your time and you'll be fine.

My Makita 9227c/PC7424 combo is excellent. Cut when I need it, cleaners/wax/sealant with the PC.
