This is undoubtably the vehicle that arrived in the best condition I have ever seen! Factor in that it's 10 years old and I was very impressed seeing this car waiting for me. The job was a referral and I didn't even get to meet the customer when he dropped it off. Original paint, winter stored and meticulously maintained...hmmm..I was really, really going to enjoy this one. What I love about getting a job where there is not a lot of defect correction to do is that it allows you to take the paint to the next level as well as do stuff you normally wouldn't b/c of time constraints. For instance, the wheels were so good and had nice large openings that for the 1st time (on a customer's car), I polished out the barrels by hand rather than just cleaning them. They came out simply amazing. Also due to the age of it, I used the Valuguard 3 step wash process on it. Good choice! This car turned out to be as good if not better than the day it came out of the showroom. I'm very proud of it. The Process: Wheels/Barrels/Tires/Wells: Wheels cleaned with DG all wheel cleaner and an assortment of brushes Barrels cleaned with same Tires cleaned with ARO Wells cleaned with Zep Citrus Wheel faces and barrels subsequently polished with DG 501 Wheel faces sealed with DG 105 Tires dressed with DP gel Wells dressed with Adams Here's the brushes I used to clean the wheels: Wash: Bugs removed by foaming front and using AG bug sponge Wax removal (it was beading up nicely) with foam using Optimum soap and Zep mixture Convertible top cleaned with ARO Valuguard 3 step wash Here's the front getting foamed Here's the top being washed: Tailpipes: Cleaned with Blue magic Head/Tail Lights: Headlights were compounded with Megs 105 and 3" pfw pad Then polished with DG plastic polish using blue 3" pad Then sealed with DG 105 Tails were polished with XMT 360 (it is nice for light correction) using 3" black pad and rotary Then sealed with DG 105 Paint: There were a lot of little road rash chips that I spent considerable time of with a pointy toothpick (makes for a GREAT paintbrush) and touch up paint. Compounded using a rotary with either UCCL or SIP depending on what defects there were to correct. (There was lots of clear as well) For the deck lid, I needed 105 in one spot. An orange foam pad was used for compounding. Polished with DG 501 and red LCC pad. This made the metallic jump! Sealed using Dg 601 followed by 105 by hand. Treated with AW the following day. Plastic rear window: Polished with DG plastic polish inside and out. Convertible Top: Treated with 303 Aerospace Exterior trim: treated with DG flat black dressing Interior: Mats: vacuum stain treatment power washed vacuumed steam cleaned Carpet: vacuumed steam cleaned Plastic and Wood: cleaned with 303 cleaner (32:1) treated with 303 Leather: vacuumed cleaned with 303 using my new Autoglym pad treated with DG leather Door jams: cleaned with ONR BEFORES: Light Scratches visible: Ingenious top protection: AFTERS: Jump flake, jump:

No, I used 303 cleaner spritzed on and agitated with my new Autoglym pad and then dried it with a mf. After a few minutes, I applied DG leather conditioner to the seats, even the parts which were not leather, but it improved the look of it all. Thanks Rocket, I appreciate it.
