I received a call from a gentleman about a month ago to come out and detail two Porsches for him. We agreed that a protection detail with a single stage polish would get the job done for the first one. Remember what happened the last time I quoted a Porsche sight unseen? Anyhow, its a 2 hour drive to his house so I enlisted the help of forum member t-dawg (Terence) so we could get it done in a day. A long day, but only one. Turned out to be a good decision to bring him. The car was covered with rather deep scratches. Due to the colour it was impossible to capture any on film. Sorry At the end of the day it was all worth it as Terence and I could not believe the wetness in the paint. So far I am very impressed with the Scholl polishes and Gloss-it LSPs. All jambs etc cleaned with AG Powermax3 Washed with Poorboys SuperSlick n'Suds Inner fenders and tires cleaned with AG Powermax3 Wheels cleaned with Bilberry Wheel Cleaner Clayed with ClayMagic Blue Polished with a variety of pads including LC CCS, Gloss-it and 3M Polishes were Menz Power Finish/85RD and Scholl S03+/S40 LSP was Gloss-it Gloss Finish x1 and Concorso Gloss x1 Tires dresses with Gloss-it Tire Dressing Total time today - 20 hours Worlds fastest banana!! Door jambs were full of overspray from recent repaint Fuel filler door full of overspray as well. AGHHHHHHH!!! Some very dirty HREs Me having my way with the wheels via Bilberry wheel cleaner and RG brushes. 50/50 of roof. You can see the difference between the two sides. Terence polishing out some of the rather deep scratches the car had somehow acquired. Tail light before... and after. There was a big difference. I just can't take pictures. LOL Luckily the seat cushions were only held in with velcro so we could get at all the nibblies underneath. Client asked if we wanted the seats removed. We declined. We realized later why he asked. Racing buckets don't fold forward. Ever try to get into a P-car back seat? Terence hard at whatever it was he was doing here. All jambs were very dirty. Terence had to use Power Gloss on a MF to get rid of this. Why am I holding the guage trim rings? Don't ask. 600 hp. All hoses and plastics dressed with 303. Nice reflection shot. Calipers got some Gloss Finish as well. Nicely finished interior. Seats were dressed with Duragloss Leather Conditioner All sills and jambs were polished and dressed with Werkstat Prime Acrylic Pedals were cleaned to like new Exhaust tips were polished with Duragloss Metal Polish Polished lips on wheels recieved Duraloss Metal Polish as well At the end of the day I had learned a few new things. The Scholl polishes and Gloss-it LSP are awesome. If someone asks if you want the seats removed, ask why. Terence is an awesome detailer :thumb: and will be joining me on a few more upcoming outings. Look for a 50th Anniversary Corvette and BMW M5.

I love a shiny bananna!! I know you can't have crap wheels on a car like that, but those wheels cost more than my MK4 when purchased two years ago!!! Very nice!! Excellent job you guys!! Thanks for taking the time to share with us!
Awesome work, great work on the finish - how do you apply/clean the calipers? Brushes? Clean a part, move the car an inch forward, clean the other part?
Great job as usual Ken. Love how wet the Scholl Concepts made the paint. Aren't you glad you finally got them from Customs! You do incredible work and now you have a partner doing great work with you ... Wow you guys are going to have some incredibly good looking cars riding around Canada!
Haha for those wondering why Ken's got the gauge trim in his hands, he was vacuuming the interior and as the gauges were being dusted, he lightly brushed one of the the trim, and they all starting falling off in a domino effect. All I hear as I was applying the sealant is Ken going "F---!" :gasp: To his defence though, all trim pieces were very loose, and had fallen off previously as evident from the double side tape that was last used as a quick fix. Ken secured it tight this time and they should stay in place the next time we clean that interior. Except next time we detail that car, Ken, I'll remove the seats for you! :roll:
Awesome work, pics and write up were great. I want to try Scholls but not sure how well they will work with a PC. I really need to get a Rotary.
