Not an in depth long review just a quickie...... Application method: I did a 2x2 section with a damp applicator pad. My apprentice waited ten seconds and wiped off. The product was very easy to get on and off. VERY thin application was practiced. I did half the vehicle with JUST the residual product that was stuck under the cap. Obervations: It really made the black pigment of the paint work very rich. It also made the flake POP as you will see below. While the gloss ;characteristics were like a typical sealant, it also had some of the glow that a nuba usually affords... the look was not sterile as some describe sealants. The sun was out yesterday while polishing but not today for final details & inspection. I wish the sun was out today so you all could see just how brilliant it looked... Just to show the surface prep of the vehicle that was being worked on- This was the best sun shot mother nature delivered on this overcast day: Here is the flake popping like I spoke of earlier: Misc shots:
Nice pics! I guess I hadn't read enough about the AB..I didn't know it was almost a WOWO product..was that just one coat on the car?
Thanks.. the pics don't even do it justice.... It is a WOWO product... And yes, this is with just one coat. Thanks.. Try it, I think you will like it... Two of forum sponsors carry it Ken and Ben...
As you noted, very thin application is the key with this product. I found that instead of applying with a damp applicator, LIGHTLY mist the area you are applying to with water and apply. This will allow you to apply the AB even thinner and make it even easier to remove. Glad you liked it.
It really looks awesome....hmmmmm....does it beads water well? I'm asking this, because Karl mentioned that this sealant cannot be topped with carnauba wax...
I love BH Auto Balm. So far I've used it on the wheels of my car, the bottom of a pair of Koni FSD struts that I had to grind down so they'd fit in the spindle, and now the rear fender of my new motorcycle. I'll have a show and shine up soon of the bike; I've got flake pop just like Jason's second picture.
Along with looks you also get durability. I applied it to my Jeep and it went 6 months and was still going when I removed it. Only thing I did in the 6 months was wash and top it with DG Aquawax about every third wash.
That looks awesome man. The reflections look very crisp and the flakes are insane. Can't wait to try it myself.
Thanks for another review of BHAB. Looks like this stuff is becoming popular. With good reason. As DGAS said, it's got sort of a hybrid look to it. It's unlike anything else. I still struggle for the word to describe how it looks. Somewhere between a sealant and a carnauba, yet it doesn't have the same look to it as the classic sealant + wax combo. It's unique. Really deepens pretty much any dark color, but black in particular is money. I've yet to try mine on something like white or yellow. And yes, it makes flake LEAP off the car. I'm totally with Jordan. I hear a lot of people claim it doesn't bead well, and since there's enough people saying it...maybe there's a difference in the way people apply it? Who knows. Mine beads very well. Matter of fact, even when one of my vehicles is dirty, it still beads very well.
