Not trying to threadjack but there's also something similar in the making from Richard (OctaneGuy). Both of these are very interesting reads. Here's a link to Richard's product.

Opti-Guard is for real. i have been using it for the last 4 years and again it has all the properties of a sealant but with extended durability.....Opti-Seal in a nutshell came from the early versions of Opti-Coat.

It can be lightly buffed and it can be topped with a paste wax and also another sealant but it won't take well to a second layer of Opti-Coat once it has cured. The coating can be hand applied or it can be sprayed and stop thinking of it as another polymer paint sealant but rather more like liquid clear coat. There are many changes on the horizon within paint care.....one of those changes will be paint itself, hence products and process will change.

Now I am not trying to sound like a salesman here but rather trying to answer questions. I am in a rather odd position because I am seen as being closely associated with Optimum yet no one has been using the Opti-Coat longer than I have so it may sound like I am pushing the product when I am just trying to explain the product(s).

I have several pictures of Opti-Coat on cars and in action but I will first ask for an OK from the admin before I post them up.

With such a close professional relationship with Optimum Research & Development it would seem difficult to offer what would be seen as an unbiased opinion
