My Dad graduated high school from Baudette sp? Mn . My Grandfather was a construction Foreman with quite the traveling job. they picked up and moved often. They left Mn and moved to Wood River Ill . He had moved there because he was one of the foreman on putting the Concrete arches around the top of Busch Stadium which was sadly torn down a few years back. Have a Great One ! Bob :headbang:
I bet you have heard of one of my Dad's old Sprint Car Racin' Buddy's.. Lee Kunzman My Dad run the little 500 in 66' and 67 driving my Grandfathers car . My Dad is Ron Perkins. I need to rebuild his website. I believe it was Mobil oil taht offered him a ride in Indy cars in 68 they year he was the IMCA rookie of the year. But back then My parents were about to get married and whoever was in charge told him it's women or the race car . He chose my Mom thank god or I wouldn't be here. The years should be accurate I wasn't born until 75 the year my Dad quite Racing. AJ, Mario and those guys were running USAC in the early years if I am correct. I have some pictures of me an AJ Foyt and Lee Kunzman in Gasoline alley at the 1997 Indy 500 . Lee invited us up. Now that was a Good Time... anyway I better not start talking racing..
