This was the wifes car of a customer I did last saturday. Older lady, had grand kids so there was just dirt everywhere in this thing. Its an 08 and its never been detailed, probably just ran through touchless car washes. Picked car up early on Saturday so no good pictures, sorry. Total time was seven hours which I didn't think was too bad. Wash: 2 bucket 1 grit guard in rinse NXT wash ONR 1oz added ONR presoak Wheels: Wesley bleach white-tires APC 4-1 on wheels and wells All differnt types of brushes clayed with megs grey clay and ONR as lube waxed with DG105 Car: Clayed with Megs grey clay and ONR as lube DG601 Dg105 Interior: All interior washed with warm water Dash and dorrs dressed with 40 Leather seats cleaned with Woolite 8-1 Megs Gold leather cleaner/conditioner (don't like it) Mats and carpet extracted with shop vac and apc 4-1 car in the morning, sorry for crappy pic. nasty wheel interior pic 1 interior pic 2 interior pic 3, nasty! interior pic 4, I guess you get the idea by now. some what of a pre soak with ONR washed, no clay yet my ghetto rigged extraction tool, LOL. floor mats where not too bad, because of the rubber floormats but still dirty around edges. oh look, all clean! paint was a little dirty sorta get an idea of the power of woolite! crappy pic of the wheel all cleaned up nice!! smells good, trust me! thanks for looking.
Well done, nice turn around on that fine looking vehicle. Just curious what model and year is that vehicle? Reason I ask is that my wife liked the looks of this vehicle and she asked me the model and year. Thank you for sharing, vehicle looks great and reasonable time too...oh I like that tool you made for your extractor, I've been wanting to do something like that for m Mytee extractor too, I just keep putting it off as I don't use it as much any more
I want to say it is an 08 Mercedes c350?? It felt supercharged, and of course 4matic. the extractor is the upholstery attachment for a Bissell Pro Heat carpet cleaner for in home, basically the LGCM head but a different color. The orange hose is the new detailers attachment kit I got for my rigid, on the end is a reducer to allow fitment for the little tools provided in the kit, and the extraction head just so happened to fit, and now I have 6.5 hp worth of suction, LOL. I want to find another head in time that is just a little bit bigger so it can draw up more carpet for extraction, for now this one will have to do.
nice work. came out great. cool idea for the extractor. If it works, go with it. nothing like saving some coin and using your imagination.
The lady called me the other day, said that her grandson asked her if she got a new car, she said no honey, its just clean now. I thought that was funny.
It's an E class, not a C. Could be an E350 4matic... BTW - wouldn't be supercharged, unless it has an aftermarket blower kit (e.g. Kleemann) - doubtful I'd think, in this particular case.
Nice work! how effective do you find the ONR pre soak? did you let the solution dwell and then rinse,or did you go straight to washing?
I should have hosed the car off first probably, I do not think it had been washed for a while. It did dwell for about 10 minutes. Its going to be a learning curve with the ONR presoak, probably works better on a better maintained car.
thankyou for your correction, I was not too sure. Amazing pull from the motor if not supercharged from what you say. Amazing torque curve, very fun to drive. I do not make it a point to drive customers cars hard, owner was with me, told me to go ahead and give it a little, with a nudge on the arm.
