I've been putting up with bad knees for the last 29 years since I dislocated hte 1st one. I've been to a specialist finally, and am going to have a scope surgery done. I CAN'T WAIT! I have been in so much pain in the last few months, it's getting unbearable. This has to stop. If this surgery does not work, there are 2 others he can do up to and including a partial re-build. I'm really hoping this one does the trick.
The funny thing is that my phone's been ringing off hte hook for details, and I had to get 3 in before my surgery. I did a BMW last weekend, an LR2 during the week and a QX56 this weekend. I will post up pics this week...I think I'll have time, LOL. Getting up and down off my stool sure as hell hasn't been helping me either..here's hoping this works!!:beg:

Good Luck Richy!! Be sure to listen to your physical therapists and stay on top of everything!!

Also, be careful taking alot of meds like hydrocodone. They relieve the pain, but they also slow down your digestive system and the next thing you know- constipation cha cha cha.

Anyway. Take it easy!!! Dont over-do it!!!

Good luck richy, If I lived closer I would do those details for you...lol...I can say I've been there and done that. In 1995 I had my first scope done on my right knee. Things went well untill july of 08. I had It done again on my right knee. Nothing went right in july so I had to have another scope done in Jan 09. All on my right knee. Can you count to 3 times on the same knee. No more scopes for me. I am going to need a complete rebuild after all the scopes I've had.

I wish you all the luck in the world and a speedy recovery. There's nothing like having no pain where you always had pain. It's amazing. The scope is the easy part just so you know. It's afterwards that you have to be very carefull and listen. If you listen you can be up and around in no time. If you don't listen shame on you but I heard that you are a very good listener. It's just so hard because you start feeling so good so fast. Good luck my friend.

    Good luck mate!

I've been in surgery I think a total of around 10 or 11 times. Just listen to everything they say and tell you to do and you'll be recovered in no time.

Thanks everybody!! I'm back from the hospital and things went well today. I was in more pain right after the procedure than now. They gave me oxycots which are also known as hillbilly heroin...I am going to be very careful taking those things..they are highly addictive and sell on hte street. I've spoken to several people who have had a scope surgery done and all have said the same thing as a few on here as well: Do the physiotherapy whole hog. I don't even go there for 4 days so I should be feeling stronger by the time I get to go. The other interesting thing is the doctor prescribed a cold therapy unit which is basically a cooler with a pump and 2 water lines that run into and out of the unit. It recirculates cold (you fill the cooler with ice and water) water to a pad and it cools the entire knee all at once and very effectively. I think that is why I haven't needed any meds yet. I've got a car booked for May 22 so I'm hoping that I am 100% by then. I'm not going to push it..I'll reschedule it if I have to.
Thanks everybody for your good wishes and support!!! DB rocks:headbang:!!
