    Hello,

I want a recommendation on a QD that is good for hard water spots after a wash and for bird bombs. Also it's for a black car so it should not streak when used in the sun.

    Thanks

I have that but it streaks with my technique. I could give it try again.

Make sure you're using distilled water... and try to wipe it before the hot panel can dry it out.

Any quick detailer you use in direct sunlight on a hot panel will probably streak. OID has been the best I've ever used by far, though. And it smells like bubblegum! I can't stop sniffing the panel when I'm claying, lol.

Zaino Z6 , Deep Finish's Deep detail or CG Syn qick detailer all work great .

Another thing to try with OID is to use two towels - a "wet" one for applying, and a "dry" one for buffing. Any streaking problems I've had have been fixed by doing this.

I think OID is fantastic stuff. Cheap too.

I have started using a mf applicator for the "wet" towel as the spreader. It gets saturated quicker and spreads quicker.

Another vote for Optimum. And yes, use distilled water, or reverse osmosis filtered water...

I get some streaking with OID as well. Even dilluted 5 to 1.

My latest love affair is 80% DG fast clean and shine and 20% DGAW. Someone suggested to me and WHOA! The clean and shine was great by itself but the kick AW gives it is even better.
