But IF ANYONE would please give me some insite on going about setting everything up that I would need to do in order to get this going.

Any information would help and I would be very thankful ...

    many of brushes, etc.
    wheel cleaners

I would suggest reading before doing anything. detailingworld.co.uk and look up Dave KG and read.

I read for over 100 hours before making any move towards a business, or buying things.

When I first started, I just had a wash and vacuum package and for an extra charge you could add wax. Keep it simple. Don't add polishing until you are competant with a machine. In this economy, specializing in the smaller packages will keep you busier than trying to get the high dollar polishing jobs. I can send you a list of what I do in my two smallest packages if you like. By focusing on the smaller packages, your start up costs will be kept down as well.

Well put Ken, I completely agree. I'm not sure what the cars are like around you, but hear having a pressure washer is almost a must for any detailing work, it will pay for itself very quickly and make your life as a detailer a lot easier.

I was 17 when I was detailing, and my friend did buffing/polishing and whatever else he didnt want me to do at that time.
