I want some feedback on my experience with Zaino today, as well as a couple of questions

Today I went over a friend of mine who just bought a brand new silver Acura MDX for his fiancee and asked me to detail it for him
The paint looked good until it was time to clay it. It really needed it despite its 90 miles. For some reason the roof was pretty bad and in serious need of a good clay bar treatment

I have some products that I was going to use, and it was up to me whatever I wanted to use as my LSP, until my friend showed me his Zaino kit he just bought.
I decided that it would be nice if I use his Zaino products for him since he invested in it

Anyway, I buffed the paint with SIP and orange pad with my PC
Basically just wanted to deep clean the paint as much as I could.
Next, I put a coat of ZAIO white pad. I let it set for about 10 minutes before I removed it.
I went ahead and I put a nice coat of Z2, I let it set for 20 minutes, removed and then put a coat of Clear Seal soon after
This is the first time I use the CS and I noticed it emits a rainbow-like appareance when applied. It streaked a bit, but as it dried the streaks were disappearing

Unfortunately I had to leave and didn't wait for the CS to totally dry and see its effect
I told my friend to leave it alone and check it tomorrow morning. If he saw something odd to hit it with the Z8, which I told him to do it anyway regardless

So, my question is, was it ok to have used Z2 with just the ZAIO as a base?
Should I have allowed more time before I put the CS on it?
I didn't use the accelerator kit, just Z2 straight from the bottle over the ZAIO
I was wondering if not allowing the Z2 to cure longer would have affected the effectiveness of the CS

    Thanks in advance...

    1) Yes, as ZAIO replaced Z1.
    2) Twenty minutes is probably fine, depandant on the environment. But if it removed with smearing, you're in good shape. A little longer would have been preferred though.
    3) Screw the ZFX, I've never used it.
    4) Leaving the Z2 on there longer would have been better, not sure how it would have affected CS.

    You should be fine.

If you use Z-AIO as a base you do not need ZFX unless you want to apply more than one coat at a time, it is needed for layering multiple coats one immediately after another.

I have applied CS right after my Z2p with no issues.

It is good to see that you have come over to the dark side, or should I say shiny side. ;-)

Does the CS add alot to the looks and durability?

I've found that using Z-6 in between steps helps quite a bit.

If you are going Zaino route you might as well get yourself some ZFX for faster curing longer protection...otherwise I'd stay with Duragloss #105.

I find Z-CS doesn't really add much as far as looks go, but does help durability. I put a coat on last fall and it survived the winter pretty well.

I'd PM RyDawg. He's the Zaino specialist.
