So im kinda new to detailng: black truck questions

    So im kinda new to this site and i have a 08 chevy silverado:[​IMG]

    I am trying to figure out what products i should be using to keep this baby lookin clean?? Do you guys recommend any type of was or swirl remover? I want to get this like some of the other black cars that i have seen on this site.

    Megs 205, 3M ultrafine to name a couple. Always start with the least aggresive pad & polish needed to get the job done.

    I agree with starting with the least agressive polish. Power finish might be a good starter polish for you.

    An excellent wax for black paint is Zymol Glasur. A little pricey for you right now, but awesome on black!!

    I think you're gonna want the easiest wax you can find that still offers a great look. That's a lot of surface area. Nice truck and welcome!

    I'd recommend a carnauba based AIO (like Maguiars D-151) to get you started.

    It's a one-step product (clean, polish, protect), very easy to use, and it will remove swirls instead of covering them up.

    You could probably finish your whole truck by hand in about 2 hours :afro:
