This vehicle belongs to a young lady that is in her 1st year of college. As you would expect, the paintwork on this vehicle was in horrid shape.

I decided to use M105/M205 and the Kevin Brown PC (Flex) method on one half of the car and my rotary on the other half using SIP/106ff.

Obviously this was not a detail in which perfection was on the docket but, I found it “post worthy” because it is a vehicle that the “Average Joe” can afford and it is also in pretty typical hammered shape, just like 90% of every vehicle I see on the road.

Apologies for the lack of sun shots but it was quite late when I finished.

Nice! So what did you think as far as ease of correction between the KB method and the standard rotary method of correction? Which one takes longer? I assume they are acheiving the same standard of clarity, but I could be wrong?

Looks great Jason, looks like you tried out the new garage. I am waiting on which way you feel is quicker and with better results. After doing several vehicles both ways I will stick with the rotary. I will say if the vehicle has medium correction the KB method does work well, but still feel the rotary has the edge just like several other top guys I have spoken with.

    Thanks!

The KBM for RO can remove some significant defects for sure and really brings what can be achieved with a RO and a rotary closer together.

For me, it has been quite awhile since I depended on a RO for a job and to be honest, it was quite cumbersome for me to control/manuever. I think I have just gotten so used to the rotary that using a RO will/would take some getting used to. I will play around with the process some more and will probably only use it for one step jobs. I say this because I do not use a rotary for one steppers

NOW, with that said for someone who does not use a rotary and is stricktly RO, the KBM is a sure fire way to do some HEAVY correction...

Ohh yeah, the new shop is rockin... still need a little bit of work and a tad more lighting but it is def rockin...

As for quicker and better results, well to be honest I think I would/will have to get more time with the KBM in order to give that a fair opinion. See, when I 1st picked up a rotary it was a learning curve, I think this method is the same way. Thus far, I have WAY more hours on a rotary than I do with the KBM mehod so naturally I am partial to the rotary at this point..

    Thanks Buddy!

    Thanks Denzil

    Thanks Jay!

    Thanks

It was like a cali duster for the dash board that the owner of the vehicle had under her seat

Thanks... nahh, I was just in winter hibernation....

I likes the enviroshield, I need to play with it some more to get a really good feel for it.

Thanks scooby.. Kevin Brown has been working hard on putting together a paper on this and it should be out soon

Jase..dude, it's great to have you back posting..so how's it feel being out on parole? HAHAHAHHA..Just busting your balls, bud! :) Anyway, obviously, you haven't lost your touch over the winter. That traffic cleaner does a hell of a job on the stains, eh? Did you email me and/or Jerry about your complete thoughts about ES? Please cc me if you haven't already. You forgot to mention one detail about your job...which cigar was being enjoyed during the process? I know you can't do a car without one; neither can I!! Cheers, good to have you back!
