As some of you may know or can tell buy my avatar i have a World Rally Blue Impreza WRX.I see alot of people using Z-2 first then topping it with Z-5 on dark colors. Will this provide the deep wetness look and most protection or would just using Z-5 be enough?Im getting ready to hopefully fully correct my paint and i want to protect it the best I can and make it look great.

Do a few alternating layers of Z2 and Z5. Then finish up with Z8 and make yourself a cup of tea when you're done.

If you want to do multiple coats in a day yes....

Is it difficult to mix the amount?

Its only 4-5 drops per ounce. Make sure you only mix what you need.....once you have added ZFX to Z2 or Z5 it has no shelf life.

How many ounces of z2 or z5 should i be using on a car?and how long is the cure time if ZFX is used?

Since your asking about ZFX I will assume your going with three coats? If so go ahead and mix 2oz (8-10 drops) and see how far that gets ya. I cant get much under an ounce per coat but then the vehicles Ive used it on were white so Im probably applying it to thick.

I dont remember the exact time you have after ZFX has been added but I think its 10-12 hours.

Im not sure how many coats of Z2 and Z5 i would use I figured id use 1 coat of each.So even with ZFX added i still need to wait half a day before the next coat??

I forgot you wanted both

Start out with 1oz of Z2. Im sure that will be lots to get you through. Just do the jams last to be certain. Let it haze (roughly 30 min) and remove it. Your good to go for your second coat after the first one is wiped off.

You only have the long wait if you dont use the ZFX.

If you want a real wet look from Zaino, you need to use Z8.

I thought the recommendation for dark colors was to do 2 or so layers of Z5pro (better for darks and has some swirl filling capacity) topped off with a layer of Z2pro (more optically pure). So I take it not everyone keeps Z2 as their top layer?

Does Z2/Z5 make the paint very slick??

It makes is slick, but be sure to properly clay the paint beforehand.

Yes, finish off with Z2 but finish up with Z8 if you have it.

Id like to use Z5/Z2 after i fully clay and correct the paint.

So i use Z5 first then top it with Z2?

On Zaino website it says you can apply 2nd and 3rd layer with no wait.

I just wanted to comment that 1oz is enough for me to do any average car 3 times. I always mix up 1/4 bottle which is 1/2 oz and have PLENTY left over when I am done. I did a suburban with 1/2 and even had a little left over.

When using ZFX you get instant curing.

For darke colors most people use Z5p. Light colors Z2p. You can also experiment using both in either order.

    I hope this helps.
