Someone else already did a full review of this wax, so I'll make mine brief. I used this wax as an LSP, on top of 1 coat of UPGP and 2 of Opti-Seal. The application gave me a run for my money, definitely the most difficult wax to apply that I have tried so far. For this reason, not a wax that I would want to use on a customer's vehicle, more for myself. However, removal was surprisingly easier than I thought given the difficulty of the application, still not Souveran easy, but not too bad. The depth and wetness are incredible and it gives off a nice warm carnauba glow (hard to tell from these pics because of the bright sun light). Overall, I love this wax, but I definitely have to get better at the application.
Yes more than 1 opinion is nice..and this one gets a lot of thumbs up...seems like a real winner here!
Nice mini review...I have been on the fence since I found out the application method. I don't doubt that it is a great wax. It has been on my want to try list for some time now and there is still no doubt that I would like to try it but SN is knocking at the door now...:shrug:
I wonder if there is a way where Ben could make it easier to apply, but still retain what people love so much about this wax.
I scrapped of the top layer with a spoon and also heated the foam applicator with a hairdryer. I'm not sure if heating up the applicator helped or made it worse as it seemed to dry up the wax really quick and make it harder, which might have made the application even more difficult. You should see the applicator, I could not even wash the wax off, so I might have to throw it away because it might marr the paint if I use it again.
I could never get the heated application to work so I just do it by hand now. Great review Luis, you'll grow to love this wax for sure, weird application methods or not! :applause2:
That's what Juiced Edition is, my basic recipe tweaked and Dodo-rized, made mainstream and easy to use. Original Edition is the hardcore version, it's not a mainstream product, it makes you work a bit more, and once you get your technique, in my opinion, it's not that much harder to use. That does indeed sound like it dried out Luis. Try it without heating the applicator. Did you have a foam finger applicator? these seem to work really well as you get a bit of heat from hands helping. I'm sure I always make it sound more complicated than it really is. It just needs a rub in the pot to get the oils flowing, you only need a very little amount on the applicator, don't try and load the applicator up too much as you will find it dragging.
How would a light misty spray of hot water work on the applicator every once and a while? Seems like it makes sense to me, but I'm no expert.
i would think the water would get cool by the time it reaches the app...and i would imagine would be a mess to work with
