QD with NO silicone or polymers out there?

but so is menzerna final inspection? both will strip anything or harm the LSP on the paint
it will in fact get it clean, but it will reduce the durability of the LSP if not remove it since it did not bond yet

 

Megs 34 Final Inspection is just a quick detailer it will not harm an LSP

I agree the Menzerna will remove oils and lsp's etc

 

This is an interesting thread but it seemed that it came to no resolution.

So has anyone found a QD that is best as far as what the OP was describing?

 

i called adams last year and asked them if there q/d contained silicone and they said no.
it doesnt matter to me if it did i was just courous.. silicones are fine and seem to get a bad rap. i used a q/d from my bodyshop guy it was made just for body shops and didnt contain silicone . and i tryed it and it sucked . not slick at all. it smelled good that was about it.

 

just my opinion, but if your using a high end carnauba wax then you can't go wrong with sonus carnauba spritz, zymol field glaze, jeffs carnauba jet, victorias qd as they all contain carnauba. yes it alters the look but it keeps the same carnauba look rather than alter it to look more like a sealant.

 

Meguiar's. Final Inspection is a body shop safe QD that does not contain silicone.

 

Thanks Nickolas you were right about that. The Vic QD is pretty nice. But perhaps i'll reserve that for waxes. My current go to QD is SCG Hot Rod. It didnt seem to make the paint sterile and it cleans up nicely.

I love the look that the Vic QD gives though.
