First I want to say this post should in no way be construed as a slight on anyone that sells Swissvax tools, I have great respect for and have received great service from the people that sold me these tools. This is just a post of my personal impression with the tools.

Swissvax Leather Brush - When I first opened the shipping box and the brush fell out I had to have a personal giggle. This thing is tiny. The wood handle is 4 3/4" long x 1 1/2" wide. It has a bit of walnut color stain and maybe a little satin clear coat. While the top edge was eased a bit the bottom edge by the bristles is a sharp corner and rough.

I have pretty small hands but the brush is very small. When I hold it in what would be considered a natural grip my hand hangs over the bristles. Unless I hold it with my fingertips I do not see any way to keep my hand off the surface I am cleaning which means the pad of my hand will be in the cleaner. This is not an ergonomic tool and will probably only be used for spot cleaning.

To compare I went to my local shoe shine store and found a similar size "travel" brush for $2.99 and a "real" 6 5/8" x 2 1/4" brush with finger grooves down each side for $6.99. Similar to these:
Travel [IMG] Standard [IMG] The standard really fits in your hand and all the edges are nicely eased so no sharp corners. I am also looking into some leather brushes from a local tack shop and they look very promising.

If this was a high quality product that had a premium price I would not blink an eye. I like quality and frequently pay for it. In this case, SV is charging a premium for a sub-standard product. Very disappointing.

Swissvax Large Cooler Bag - I bought this as part of a larger order primarily to try some of the Swissvax Wood Wax & Medium Cleaner. This is not usually something that is purchased individually rather it is a freebie with the Master Collection. And I can see why it is a freebie.

At first glance it looks like a decent bag with a nylon exterior and a nylon web strap. Unfortunately that is where the goodness ends. As I unzipped the case I realized that the zippers would need to treated with some wax or they would soon malfunction. They are really light duty. Once open the interior is vinyl which is good for bottles that contain liquid, but it is very brittle and I do not see it lasting with any kind of regular use. The dividers are held in place by two strips of Velcro, but the hinge of the divider is so thin that one was completely torn and two were partially torn. Again a real disappointment in quality.

All in all if you find one of these bags for sale, remember that they are a freebie and pay accordingly.

I had not seen them for sale individually. My freebie comment was based on the description on their website that describes the "free Cooler-Bag with variable dividers".

I got the bag with the master kit and it's a good bag IMO. Also the brush helped me clean a very very dirty mercedes.
