Any thoughts on this particular combination:

Carlack68 NSC (Klasse AIO) as base layer followed by Jetseal 109 (2 coats) topped with Duragloss 105 (2 coats).

Would the 105 & Jetseal bond well together or would Duragloss 601 PBA be needed.

I'm thinking of this as a winter combination to increase both durability & looks (my summer combination is NSC + Jetseal + P21s wax).

I would only use 1 sealant. Use either one or the other, not both.

I myself would use 105, then top it with Collinite 845 for good winter durability.

What are you trying to do, protect the car from asteroids? I'd do the same like Pete said. I know Jetseal works well under most waxes but I'm not sure about other sealants. I'd do a 501 to 105 layered, then Aquawax for maintenance.

the DG105 would only last as long as the jetseal would if you did it that way anyway. i'm willing to bet DG105 lasts longer too! i'd say stick to one or the other and for looks, get a wax of your choice

If you already own 105 and 601 I would use those and follow up periodically with AW. Another option would be to top the 105 with Collinite as previously stated. Either way, you're golden.

Thanks for the interesting responses guys.

I was under the impression that the durability of jetseal was at least equal to, if not greater than 105.

I know that 105 will work over Duragloss 111 which is a pure sealant and I am confused as to why this might not be the case with Jetseal.

The durability of Jetseal 109 is not the same as Duragloss 105 in my opinion. Duragloss will last a whole lot longer in real world conditions.

Does the 845 stain plastic and rubber trim?

    601 + 105 topped with 476S

So far this combo is holding out just as well, if not better than, the Klasse Twins I used last winter.

I don't recall it ever staining trim. but I also don't recall if I've ever gotten it on trim pieces.

Anyone know the answer to this question?

I don't think it does. 845 was one of the waxes I used when I first started out and I'm sure I nicked the trim from time to time and I don't recall any staining.

    Thoughts on 105+476+nuba topper?

Collinite 476 contains carnauba. It is formulated using both synthetic polymers and carnauba. The combination in question will not adversely impact a finish; however, I suggest a sealant (synthetic polymers) such as Duragloss 105 topped with a carnauba or a crossbred wax such as Collinite 476 as opposed to applying a sealant, crossbred, and carnauba.

has anyone used DG105 and topped it with nuba (planning to use SV smargrd)? do those two have bonding issue? and should I use Cleaner fluid before 105 or 601 instead?

I've used 105 and topped it with Souveran and it worked a treat...

I do. Either it's Prep-All or an IPA Wipe down. Just to make sure I keep the best adhesion possibble. Whether It's needed all the time or not I'm still not sure. Oh, I just tried Prep-All for the first time and now I have two methods...:thumb:
