I don't know if you noticed these when you were clearing out the IG for .95 at Advance Auto, but they're also closing out sponges, 4 for $1.00. These sponges are kind of bone-shaped, and are imported from Greece.
These sponges are way softer than the Proline Grout Sponge, have way more holes in them to trap grit, and the shape makes them harder to accidently drop.
I had seen them before at a close-out place, and bought quite a few there. I think I payed .70 back then. No swirls, no marring, fantastic.
And at .25 each at Advanced, a giant bargain.
PS. they're also closing out Blue Coral Concentrated foaming wash at .95. It's Blue Coral, but at .95, you could use it to wash wheels at the very least.

I was in Advance today and did not notice them on all. I never saw the IG special...just aerosol on the shelves.

There were only about 5 or so IR at each store....I'm sure they went fast. The sponges probably flew out the door too.

I meant to say I have seen them there many times and they were there yesterday. I just did not notice them on sale. I am still looking for something to clean tires and wheels. Brushes do not seen to work for me.

I used to use old terry towels or washcloths for wheels. Washcloths are at Walmart for like 2.98 for 18.
But now I use a dedicated sponge after the sponge outlives its usefulness for the paint. These sponges are so soft they'll squeeze in between spokes or anywhere else. I've got a whole tub full of these sponges and 26 IR's. I also splurged on 3 or 4 on the afore mentioned Blue Coral Car Wash for .95.
    Just can't pass up bargains!

I have always been happy with Blue Coral and have been using it for years. Has any one every tried it in a foam gun or cannon

I've used Blue Coral in the Gilmour and it foamed nicely. So did ArmorAll wash, Turtlewax Wash, Meg's Gold Class, DG 901, etc. Every wash I've used in the gun foamed nicely, even the "cheap" ones.

Thank you, I have a lot of cheap ones that I would like to use up. Looks like you just saved me a ton of figuring...:thumb:

I went to the closest Advance the sponges were not on sale (like $2.99) plus they had another type of polyster sponge too. They did not have any Stoners in a spray. I went to two others and they did not even carry the sponges.
