hey all. here's the deal. i've been using cockpit premium now for a little while and want to stick with it. its a great product. i was going to pick up one of the 10 liter containers of it from DD, and its $99.95. i then noticed that DD sells a product called Einszett Blitz APC. its only $75 for the 10 liter. i emailed phil about how cockpit premium compares to the APC and if there is any real difference, except for the price. he informed me that the Blitz would have to be diluted, but thats about it. can anyone shed any light on this manner or share their experiences with the Blitz APC and how it compares to cockpit premium?

The only thing that makes any sense to me is buy the APC for 75 dollars and dillute it. So now you're paying less money for more product. If he say that the only difference and I'm sure he knows. That would be the only way to go...The bonus would be that you could use It full strenth or any strenth If you needed to...:thumb:

yeah thats pretty much what i was thinking. i just wanted to see if anyone had any experience using the Blitz APC in lieu of ther cockpit premium and how it compares. oh and phil said the cockpit smells better in his opinion also.

ok well I've used Cockpit Premium but I do not see how it offers any protection at all. the fact that it contains alcohol, i don't see how anything could mix w/something that protects. Unlike let's say Meg's 40 that when applied it actually looks like it moisturizes what you apply it to...

1Z cleans, smells somewhat nice. but yeah, i don't get it

IMO 1z cockpit premium is like an all in one product. 1z Blitz is just a "all purpose cleaner" & no matter how you dilute it, it's still a cleaner . You would compare 1z cockpit to Lexol's Vinylex & etc... or if it was a wax it would fall into the likes of Klasse AIO, Jeff's Werkstat Prime, most cleaner waxes, and etc...cleans and protects.

    quote from DD website:
"Einszett Cockpit Premium will leave the interior clean and protected with a matte finish like no other product out there. This will truly leave you a matte finish! "

not saying you're wrong or anything, but just that i was under the impression that cockpit provided some sort of protection that's all.

see, thats what i don't get... if you but it on black dash like my wife's corolla...it looks the same before and after you apply the premium.

so yes it does leave a "true" matte finish because its not added anything

matte as in the dash etc will retain its natural "matte" finish rather than having a shiny or glossy finish to it from the product.

According to Einszett, CP contains ingredients that protect against
    fading due to heat.

There are tons of pure protectants out there that leave a matte finish.

OPP, DP Interior Protectant, CG Natural Shine leaves the slightest bit, but is still matte. There are more, but those are the ones Ive tried so far.

Like 2KLS1 said 1z CP has thermal protection, but not UV protection. The reason is doesn't offer UV protection is because the windshield absorbs most of the UV rays. However, apparently the side and rear window do not filter as much as the windshield. Some study I found said the windshield filters about 98% while the side and rear windows only filter about 66%. The differences is the windshield is laminated, while the side and rear windows are tempered.

Now 1z Vinyl- Rubber care and protectant sounds similar to 1z CP, but it also offers UV protection. So you might want to look into using that instead.
